Swyft Bills $149 Four Times a Year. Utah Bills $18 Once, and Five of Those Dollars Are the Login.

A transparent $99/year for registered agent representation in Utah. Address used on filings, same-day legal mail scanning, and compliance reminders are part of the rate.

The disclosure belongs at the top of a page this arithmetic-heavy: Utah Registered Agent.co publishes it, sells a competing Utah appointment at $99 a year, and profits if you act on it. Swyft Filings' pricing is quoted as Swyft publishes it, from a July 2026 review.

What Swyft Gets Right

The price is on the website, the billing interval is stated rather than buried, and a quarterly charge genuinely suits some owners, who would rather part with a smaller sum four times than a larger sum once. Cash-flow smoothing is a real preference and there is nothing dishonest about offering it.

The trouble starts when a quarterly figure gets compared against annual figures, which is what happens on almost every comparison table anyone builds at their kitchen table.

Do the Multiplication Before You Compare

Swyft's registered agent service is $149 billed every three months. Four of those payments is roughly $596 a year, and our July 2026 review found no opening discount that softens the first twelve months.

Against every annual rate in this market, $596 is the highest true cost of holding a Utah appointment. It does not look like the highest, because $149 reads like a mid-market annual price until you notice the word quarterly beside it. Anyone building a spreadsheet needs to enter $596.

Here is what the state itself charges to keep your LLC alive for a year: $18. That is the complete renewal, and it already contains a $5 surcharge for the UtahID single sign-on you use to file it, which is the state charging five dollars for a login and printing that fact in the total.

Roughly $596 a year is thirty-three Utah renewals. A company could keep filing until 2059 on what one year of quarterly agent billing costs. It is also enough to walk into the Division and organize ten brand new Utah LLCs, at $59 apiece, with money left over.

None of that arithmetic makes Swyft's service defective. It makes the price hard to see, and the whole point of putting the annualized number in front of you is that a fair comparison needs both figures in the same unit.

Our Number

$99 a year, billed once, renewing at $99. Anything served on your business at our Utah address is scanned before the end of that working day and posted to your account with an email notice. Notices from the Division follow the same path. Reminders reach you ahead of your anniversary month, while the filing window is still open. Nothing tiers above the plan you bought because we never built a tier.

One competitor prints a smaller yearly number than ours, BetterLegal at $90, and a page doing this much multiplication should include the figure that cuts against it. What survives that correction is a smaller claim: our $99 ranks with the lowest flat rates printed for Utah work, and scanning does not arrive as a separate line.

Getting Swyft Filings Off Your Utah Entity Record

Utah handles this with one change filing at the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code, the document that updates registration information for an LLC. No form number exists, because the state does not number these. The processing charge is $17 and it is non-refundable, whether the filing arrives by post or gets entered inside Utah's online registration system. File the change during your annual renewal instead and the state drops that $17 to nothing.

The full sequence, including what to enter and how to verify it afterward, sits on our change of agent page.

One scheduling rule is worth repeating anywhere it applies. Put the new agent on the record before the quarterly billing stops, not after, because a cancelled account does not remove Swyft from your public filing and Utah will keep showing them as your agent until a change form says otherwise. The failure mode is an address that is still official and no longer watched. Sign up, file, then cancel, in that order.

$149 four times, or $99 once. Whoever holds the appointment owes Utah the identical three things: a street address here, someone at it while the office is open, and documents passed on quickly. The state's own price for the year is $18. Everything above that is a commercial choice.
