Changing Your Utah Registered Agent
A transparent $99/year for registered agent representation in Utah. Address used on filings, same-day legal mail scanning, and compliance reminders are part of the rate.
$17 is what Utah charges to put a new registered agent on your record. One form, one fee, filed with the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code. Seen $37 or $13 quoted elsewhere? Those numbers are stale; the current form and the FY2026 fee schedule both say $17.
Reasons to Update
- A personal address is sitting in Utah's public entity records and you want it out
- The employee acting as agent quit, moved, or stopped answering the door
- Your current provider misses documents or charges too much
- You are consolidating every entity under one agent
- The business moved away but the Utah entity stays active
The Form and the Fee
Utah's change filing for LLCs is the Limited Liability Company Registration Information Change Form. It has no form number; the state does not assign one. Find it on the Division's registration information change forms page. Processing fee: $17, non-refundable, same amount online or on paper.
Bonus: time the change with your Annual Report/Renewal and the state waives the $17 outright.
Four Steps
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.

- Send it to the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code with the $17, or bundle it into your renewal and skip the fee.
- Pull up your entity in the state's business search and confirm the new agent shows.

Transition Notes
Documents can keep arriving at the old agent address until the Division records the update. If the outgoing agent was an officer using a home address, have them watch the mail through the switchover. After the record updates, everything routes to us.
Looking ahead: Utah's 2026 statute overhaul (Chapter 93, 2026 General Session) repeals the Model Registered Agents Act and renumbers the LLC act on October 1, 2026, so the legal citations behind agent filings shift that day. We track it so you do not have to.
