Changing Your Utah Registered Agent

Utah charges $13 to update your registered agent on file with the Division of Corporations. The process involves one form, one fee, and a few days of processing time.

Four Steps

1. Select a qualified new agent. Must be over 18 with a physical Utah address (street or rural route, no PO boxes) if an individual. Must be authorized in Utah if a business entity. Available 9 AM to 5 PM weekdays.

2. Complete the change form. Available through the Utah Division of Corporations at corporations.utah.gov. Requires entity name, state ID, and new agent details.

3. Pay the $13 state fee. Paid directly to Utah. One-time charge.

4. Confirm the update. Check your entity record on the Division of Corporations website to verify the new agent appears.

Transition Notes
